I cannot believe we are just one week away from the 4th of July! Although this summer has been great thus far, it’s going way too fast! I love soaking up the Pittsburgh sun, and more importantly having as much fun as possible. I do most of my home projects in the spring and fall, so the warmer months are left for fun times with the little’s. If I do start any projects, I keep it simple. I’m always looking for unique ways to incorporate more color into our home. I’m typically drawn to everything black and white, so adding pops of color where I can is essential. One way to set the tone for your home is to paint your front door a color other than factory grade white or almond. I know when I see colored doors, they kind of make me smile a bit, and have me curious about their owners. I speculate what their design taste is on the inside, and I’m pretty sure they have unique personalities.

One of the first things I like to do when meeting with a new client is to go through inspirational photos with them so I have a better idea of their design style. Getting it right at the start of the project saves a lot of headaches for both the client and myself.
